Default Removed my tint [pic] ...

So I had some ugly old purple tint on the hatch, so I went over to 90_ZC_Hatch's place and we removed the tint. i was pretty pleased with the result, and its nice to be able to see out of my rear view, lol

idk why, but i think your car looks sick how it looks now w/out the tint. probably because i remember how badly it looked...

but once you get em all tinted, whenever you get around to doing that, i'm sure it'll look pretty gangster.

That **** looks great man, I want to get some tint since I don't have working air and having the windows doesn't help if you're stuck in ATL traffic lol.

Personally I prefer the no tint look over any tint.

Unfortunately my DD NEEDS tint since I'll be carrying a little one, so I am having to strip the peeling tint only to have the tint redone.

I think your hatch looks really good with clear windows.

    Cool

i like tint because I don't like the interior getting all ****ed up.

Although I suppose you can get a light tint that still has the UV protection.

I still prefer 5% all around and 35% on the windshield - ala early 90's!

I really need to remove the tint from my hatch because the previous owner put it on himself and it's all purple too.

How hard was it to get off the rear window? Did you mess up the defroster lines?

i use the defroster lines all the fu*king time.

blackR, it is a pain to get off, but once you get the hang of it, it comes off pretty easily. like Guy started getting the hang of it, and did the two side windows in the same amount of time that it took him to do the back window, which is the one he started with.

but it's definatly a pain in the asss, thats for sure.

Hey Ken get some heavy duty glass cleaner, preferably with amonia, some fine grade steel wool, a pack of razor blades, and be prepaired to gag as the glue comes off of the windows.

Took me about an hour to strip the 5% limo tint off of my old red EF. The darker/better the tint is the easier it comes off in huge sheets though. If the tint is already purpling/peeling you might be in for a really shietty time.

some of the lines do, and some dont. i know a way to fit them to make them work again, but you cant have tint on your windows. it's in one of the manuals we have in the garage.

Yessir it does. Much better. I've been into the "tintless" look for a long time now. My Pontiac and Buick are tinted, but I'll not think about tinting my Civic.

    Looks great, uproot. Later, QD.

Agreed. But with the "little one," why not just buy one of those ventshade things that suction to the window by the where the child will sit? I had one of those but don'[t use it any longer for mine. Later, QD.
